How it works
The format stays familiar to your league; PikSheet keeps the weekly mechanics clear and consistent.
- 1Pick a winner for every game on the slate.
- 2Assign a confidence value 1 through N (where N is the number of games).
- 3Each confidence value is used exactly once per week.
- 4A correct pick earns you its assigned confidence points. Wrong picks earn zero.
- 5Highest weekly total wins the week. Highest season total wins the pool.

After lock, the pool can see who picked what without chasing text threads or screenshots.

- 2.You put your 1 on a coin-flip game. You miss — 0 points.

How to win a Confidence pool
Strategy that separates the season winners from the pack.
- 1Your top three values decide the season. Getting the 14, 15, and 16 right matters more than nailing coin flips — put the big numbers on the safest wins, not the most exciting ones.
- 2Don't overthink the bottom. Values 1 through 4 barely move the standings; save your deliberation for the top half of the card.
- 3Be careful with Thursday games — you assign the value before Sunday's injury news lands. Keep short-week games out of your top five when you can.
- 4Chasing late in the season? Mirror the leader's likely card except in two or three games where you flip both the pick and the weight. Diverging everywhere just adds variance in both directions.

Confidence pool FAQ
What is a confidence pool?+
A pick'em variant with weighted picks: you pick every game and assign each a unique confidence value from 1 to N (N = games that week). Correct picks earn their assigned value; wrong picks earn zero. Highest total wins.
What's a good confidence pool strategy?+
Assign your highest values to the most certain outcomes rather than spreading risk. Most points are lost by putting big numbers on upsets, not small numbers on misses.
What happens on bye weeks with fewer games?+
The value range adapts to the week's game count, in one of two modes the commissioner picks: Low-16 (the default) keeps the top value at 16 every week, so a 14-game week uses 3–16; One-Up keeps the bottom at 1, so a 14-game week uses 1–14.
How are confidence pool ties broken?+
A common tiebreaker is predicted total points in the Monday night game. On PikSheet it's an optional setting the commissioner turns on at pool creation.
