How to win a High 5 pool
Strategy that separates the season winners from the pack.
- 1With only five picks, one bad call is 20% of your week. Raw win probability beats value — save the fun underdog for a pick'em card.
- 2In against-the-spread versions, a big spread isn't a safe pick — double-digit favorites win far more often than they cover. Mid-size home favorites are usually the steadier cover.
- 3Consistency compounds: steady 4-1 weeks beat alternating 5-0s and 2-3s over an 18-week season.
- 4A missed week is five guaranteed zeros. Submit early — you can change picks until they lock.

What is a High 5 pool?+

Is High 5 played straight up or against the spread?+
Either — the commissioner chooses at setup. Straight up rewards finding the safest favorites; against the spread makes all five picks genuine decisions.
How are High 5 ties broken?+
Pools can enable an optional weekly tiebreaker — predicted total points in the week's final game. Season standings rank total wins.
How is High 5 different from Pick'em?+
Same win-based scoring, smaller card: Pick'em makes you pick every game, High 5 only your best five. Fewer picks means less time per week and more weight on each call.
